Miraaj is a multi-disciplinary South Asian artist based in San Francisco. Singer, songwriter, melody maker, flow movement dancer, choreographer, speaker, producer and believer of the magic created when music meets movement.

Born in the middle east to Indian parents, Miraaj’s work bridges a cultural gap between numerous western electronic dance traditions and ornamental Hindustani (Indian) singing styles.

As an ecstatic and flow movement dancer, Miraaj draws inspiration from various styles having trained in Bollywood, bhangra, kathak, hip-hop, jazz, funk, latin ballroom, lyrical and contemporary dance.

From melodic hooks that pay homage to trance titans like Above & Beyond and Armin Van Burren, to driving, deep house beats like those of Lane 8, Tinlicker, and Marsh, and Indian melodic influences from Oscar winning composer A.R. Rahman, there’s something for everyone in Miraaj’s music.

Since the launch of their debut single ‘Ritual’ in 2023, Miraaj has performed live across major venues in San Francisco like the legendary Oasis Club, Brick & Mortar Music Hall, The Midway and Palace of the Fine Arts aside from making stops in Oakland, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York. Donning the hat of a director in 2025, the music video for their brand-new titular single from their debut EP, Secret, dropped on Valentine’s Day.
